Nasir Jamshed Third Pakistani Cricketer Suspended in Fixing Case

The match-fixing scandal that hit the Pakistan Super League has seen yet another player being dragged in the mix. Test discard Nasir Jamshed has been suspended from all forms of cricket for his alleged involvement in the controversy.
The third player against whom the Pakistan cricket board has taken again, Jamshed in fact is not even part of any of the five franchises in the PSL.
Last week, Islamabad United's Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan were suspended by the PCB for breaching the anti-corruption code and returned home from the United Arab Emirates, where the league is being played. Sharjeel and Latif will face a hearing soon, PCB chairman Shahryar Khan said on Monday
According to well-informed sources, the suspended players had claimed during their questioning by anti-corruption officials that Jamshed had asked them to meet with the person suspected to be part of an international betting syndicate.
Nasir also came under investigation two years back by the Bangladesh Premier League anti-corruption officials.
The PCB has also questioned Zulfiqar Babar of Quetta Gladiators and Shazaib Hassan of Karachi Kings. However, Irfan, Babar, and Hassan are free to compete in the meantime.
