Social media has once again proved how awesome it is by facilitating a little 5-year-old boy’s dream to meet his idol, Lionel Messi.
Truly, the power of social media is staggering. Recently, teenage girls from across the world had their hopes renewed when Disney star Jake T Austin started dating a fangirl who had been religiously following him on social media for five years.
This little boy, who has been identified as Murtaza Ahmadi, hails from the Ghazni province in Afghanistan. He has been winning hearts all over social media not just because he’s adorable but because he proves that one doesn’t need to buy expensive merchandise to show loyalty and love for one’s favourite footballer.
He proves that pure love and a bit of creativity can do wonders and make dreams come true.
His story went viral when he was pictured wearing a blue and white striped Argentina shirt that was made out of a plastic bag with football legend Messi’s name scribbled on his back.
According to reports as well as a fan account, Messi was so moved by the little boy’s love that he has decided to meet his fan. However, no date or location has been confirmed for the meeting.
Here’s hoping the little boy meets his idol super soon!
