“MS did what he does best and he gave us all a massive scare.”

The words of RCB skipper Virat Kohli perfectly sum up the MS Dhoni-storm that had taken over Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday night during the RCB-CSK game.

With 70 required off 30, CSK found themselves fighting against the odds, but what are odds when compared to Mahendra Singh Dhoni? The CSK skipper took charge of CSK’s chase and almost helped them get past the finish line.

One of the key highlights of his innings was the final over in which Chennai required 26 runs from 6 balls.

After hitting the first ball off Umesh Yadav for a four, Dhoni dispatched the second delivery out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

It was the longest six of this IPL, going 111 metres and onto the rooftop.

Before this, Hardik Pandya had hit the longest six this season (104 m), against the same opposition.

Dhoni smashed two more sixes in the last over, but could not finish it off on the last ball as Parthiv Patel hit the stumps to run out Shardul Thakur with two runs needed to win it.

During the 48-ball-84, MS hit five fours and seven sixes. The former Indian skipper also became the first Indian to hit 200 sixes in IPL.
