Rishabh Pant might have grabbed the headlines on Sunday night at the Wankhede Stadium but it was Rohit Sharma’s daughter Samaira, who was the star attraction at Mumbai’s first match of IPL 2019 against Delhi Capitals.

Though Mumbai lost the match and Rohit Sharma failed with the bat as well, Samaira seemed quite pleased with the attention that she was getting. Samaira, who would be three-month-old soon, look very comfortable while watching the match from her mother’s lap.

One of the most cute pictures that was captured was one in which she was seen yawning and was almost asleep. Her mother Ritika ensured that she made her comfortable amidst the crowd support, who was constantly buzzing for Mumbai. Also seen in the background was Zaheer Khan’s wife Sagarika Ghatge who was also present in the stadium cheering for Mumbai. Zaheer joined the franchise as the director this season.

Baby Samaira was born to Rohit and wife Ritika on December 31 last year. Due to which Rohit missed the final Test in Sydney against Australia as he had flown down to meet his newborn and his wife. Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh married each other in 2015.

Mumbai however lost the match by 37 runs while chasing a big score of 214 to win. Yuvraj Singh scored 53 off 35 balls as he lost partners at the other end. Kieron Pollard (21) Quinton de Kock (27) and Krunal Pandya (32) all got starts but failed to make a big score. Rohit Sharma scored just 14 batting at the top of the order. Mumbai face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru on Thursday (March 28).
