Some eyebrows were raised when Juventus decided to shell out a fee of £105 million to bring a 33-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo to the Turin-based club from Spanish giants Real Madrid. But if the striker’s medical at Juventus is anything to go by then perhaps the Portuguese legend is worth every penny.

The tests conducted as part of the signing have reportedly thrown up numbers according to which Ronaldo is as fit as a 20-year-old. The former Real Madrid man himself had once said that his biological age was 23.

The examinations took into account Ronaldo’s body fat, his muscular mass and his speed.

According to the medical test, Ronaldo has 7 percent body fat, which is 3 percent less than the average professional footballer, and has a muscle mass of 50 percent, again 4 percent higher than an average professional.

Apart from this, he was also reportedly clocked sprinting at 33.98km/hr during the FIFA World Cup 2018, which is the fastest by any player at the event in Russia. Ronaldo went onto score four goals in four matches that includes a hat-trick against Spain.

Ronaldo, one of the fittest athletes around, left Real Madrid after spending nine years at the club, winning four Champions League titles scoring 451 goals, which is a club record.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has joined Italian champions Juventus on a four-year deal and will be paid around £26 million annually.
