India’s top network providers Reliance Jio and Airtel have announced that their live TV apps – Jio TV and Airtel TV will stream the FIFA World Cup for their subscribers in India.

Airtel TV will also give the viewers an option to watch the World Cup in various languages along with Hindi and English. Apart from that, the users will also get access to match schedules and updates about the World Cup. Airtel users will also be able to watch behind the scenes footage of all the matches, along with match previews/reviews.

Similarly, Jio TV will offer the premium sports content for Jio users for free.

Both Jio TV and Airtel TV are in a customer base war, with Jio claiming to have 100 million users while the Airtel TV app has 50 million downloads on Android, and extended the free service till December this year.

As known already, the matches will stream live on the Sony’s Liv app. Sony has the rights for this year’s World Cup and the matches will be live on all Sony Ten channels across India.
