Here’s a look at five big moments from the FIFA World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia.

We may have a new FIFA World Cup winner this Sunday as Croatia have reached their first-ever final after beating England 2-1 in extra-time on Wednesday.

Let's take a look at five big moments from the semi-final.

1. Kieran Trippier’s Goal

Kieran Trippier got England off to a flying start in the fifth minute. He struck a free kick which went over the Croatian wall and dipped just in time to ease into the goal near the right post. Croatia’s keeper Danijel Subasic had no chance in stopping that one.

2. Croatia’s Equaliser

Croatia found their equaliser in the 68th minute – Sime Vrsaljko crossed the ball from the right flank and Perisic, who jumped to reached the ball, guided the ball into the goal with his left leg. Three minutes later, Perisic could have put Croatia ahead, but when took a shot from the left flank, the ball hit the right post.

3. John Stones’ Chance

England had a great chance to go 2-1 up in the ninth minute of extra-time, when John Stones headed the ball towards the Croatian goal. But Vrsaljko, who was standing on the line, cleared the ball and Croatia managed to hang on.

4. Jordan Pickford’s Save

Croatia could have sealed the deal during the first half of extra time when Mandzukic was in a great position to score. But as Mandzukic went for the ball passed by Perisic, England keeper Jordan Pickford courageously came forward and deflected Mandzukic's effort.

5. Croatia’s Winner

In the 19th minute of extra time, Perisic headed the ball towards the goal. Mandzukic, who was unmarked, ran towards the ball and struck it in the bottom right corner. Croatia went 2-1 up and held their lead for the next 11 minutes to have a chance to avenge their 1998 World Cup semi-final loss against France.
