Cricket fans across the world have had a very exhausting day, what with the IPL 2017 auctions keeping them on the edge and dropping several bombs in one go. A fine example would be Rising Pune Supergiants making England’s Ben Stokes the most expensive buy this IPL.
Stokes celebrated this moment on Instagram with a picture of his new team’s logo.
Stokes, who has never participated in the IPL before, went under the hammer for Rs 14.5 crore after an intense round of bidding between the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils. But it was the Rising Pune Supergiants who finally got him for a record-breaking price.
Last year’s highest bid was Rs 9.5 crore for Shane Watson, who was bought over by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
