After playing for four different franchises between 2011 and 2017, Yuvraj Singh returned ‘home’ to Kings XI Punjab for the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder was bagged by the Ravichandran Ashwin-led franchise for his base price of Rs 2 crore.

“It’s nice to be back in Punjab, love the crowds. We’ve won three games at home and that’s given a lot of confidence. Hopefully, this season goes well for us”, said Yuvraj in a chat with The Quint.

On Chris Gayle’s outstanding knocks marking his arrival in the KXIP camp, Yuvraj said, “He’s been performing like the boss he is. He and KL Rahul have given us some great partnerships. It’s great to see all the other teams fearing our batting attack”.

Yuvraj – who last played for India in June 2017 in an ODI – said he’s looking forward to playing cricket in 2019 (the year of the World Cup).

I want to finish my career on a high. I’m looking forward to playing cricket in 2019 and seeing what happens after that. I’m looking forward to the next 14 months.

Yuvraj’s Guide to Food in India

We Indians love our food. And, well, our cricketers too. So what better than a combination of the two, and who better than a true Punjabi and brand ambassador of EazyDiner Yuvraj Singh to give us his guide to food in India. We asked him what he likes to eat in the various IPL cities of India.

Punjab: I like to eat kadhi chawal that my mom makes. I love to eat home food but Punjabis like to eat butter chicken and saag, makki ki roti with makkhan.
Delhi: Delhi would be daal makhni. Daal and chicken are what the North Indians normally eat.
Chennai: Vada, dosa, sambhar, idli. I love South Indian food.
Hyderabad: I’ve played for Hyderabad for two years. Love the biryani there. Every time everyone went out there was biryani for sure.

On their partnership with EazyDiner, Manoj Adlakha, SVP & CEO of American Express Banking Corp said, “We endeavour to provide our Card members with exclusive access, unparalleled privileges and rewards aligned to their lifestyle needs and aspirations. Customer feedback and spend patterns indicate dining is a key interest area for our Card members”.
