Will Rain Let India Level T20 Series vs Bangladesh in Rajkot?

According to Accuweather, it is set to remain cloudy throughout the day, but chances for precipitation are around 1%

While Team India is looking to make a comeback in the T20I series against Bangladesh in Rajkot, rain gods are threatening to play a spoilsport.

Due to the effects of cyclone Maha, the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium received a lot of rainfall on Wednesday evening. Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashed the Rajkot venue. The heavy downpour, along with lightening and thunder, continued for more than half an hour, which led to large water puddles on the field.

However, the pitch and the area around it didn’t bear the brunt as it was covered with multiple layers of tarpaulin.

But with the cyclone losing its force as it approaches Saurashtra on Thursday afternoon, chances of thunderstorms have decreased drastically.

According to Accuweather, it is set to remain cloudy throughout the day, with a cloud cover around 50 percent, but the chances for any kind of precipitation are around 1 percent till 11 pm at night. Especially during the later part of the day.

The India-Bangladesh 2nd T20I is set to begin from 7 pm and even if it rains at all the stadium has a provision to be readied in an hour’s time for play.

India are trailing 0-1 after losing the first T20I by 7 wickets on Sunday, 3 November, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

But if rain intervenes at any moment, a washout will tip the scale further in Bangladesh’s favour as far as the T20I series is concerned.

Not only India will fail to win a series at home for the second consecutive time, but Bangladesh will avoid a series loss in India.
