Day 2 of IPL 2018 auction saw some stereotypes come true – Chennai buying lungi being one. Yes, you read that right. Chennai Super Kings bought South African pacer Lungi Ngidi for a great bargain of 50 lakh rupees. Surprisingly, CSK were the only suitors in this bid – truly destined to be together.

All of 21, Ngidi is already making ripples in the cricket world with his lethal pace attack – something that sends shivers down several accomplished batsmen whenever he takes to the field.

While Lungi has been garnering much applause from cricketing greats because of his pace attack, he set Twitter ringing with lungi jokes as soon as Chennai bought him in the IPL auction.
