Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) sharpened their chances of a playoff berth with a convincing six-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a crucial Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav (4/20) starred for the two-time champions as Royals were bowled out for 142 in 19 overs despite an early blitz from the visiting team openers. Chasing a modest target, KKR rode on Chris Lynn's 45 and captain Dinesh Karthik's unbeaten 41 to ease past the line by posting 145/4 with two overs to spare.

The men in purple, thus, stretched their winning run to two games while Royals lost for the first time in four matches.

We needed to win three matches in a row, we’ve won two. The next match is very important. If we win the next match, then only we can qualify for the play-offs.

Among his four wickets in the match, Kuldeep Yadav feels that the wicket of Jos Buttler was his best one.

Jos Buttler’s wicket was very important. If he played for 10 more overs then the score would probably have been 170-180. According to me, Buttler’s wicket was my best wicket.

Kuldeep Yadav expressed that he spoke to Rajasthan Royals’ mentor Shane Warne after the match.

I have been a big fan of Shane Warne. Whenever I play in front of him, I feel even more motivated. After the match, we discussed about my bowling and the England tour.
