India beat West Indies by 22 runs (D/L method) in the second T20I in Lauderhill, Florida on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 168, West Indies labored their way to 98/4 in 15.3 overs before rain forced play to be suspended. The DLS system was then used to award the game to India as the par score for the hosts at the time was 120.

With the win, India clinch the three match series 2-0.

Here’s a look at a few interesting stats and some records broken during the match.

  1. India have won five consecutive matches vs West Indies for the first time in T20Is - between November 4, 2018 and August 4, 2019.
  2. India have recorded consecutive bilateral series against West Indies for the first time in T20Is - by 3-0 in 2018-19 and by 2-0 in 2019.
  3. With three sixes during his splendid knock, Rohit Sharma took his tally of sixes to 107, setting a record in T20Is, bettering the 105 by Chris Gayle.
  4. Rohit Sharma, with 425 runs at an average of 47.22 in 12 matches vs West Indies, has extended his record for most runs in T20Is involving India and West Indies.
  5. Rohit, with 24 sixes, has set a new record in T20Is involving India and West Indies. He had outstripped Evin Lewis' tally of 21 sixes.
  6. Rohit, with 107 sixes, is now a record-holder for most sixes in T20Is, bettering the 105 by Chris Gayle.
  7. Rohit's tally of 21 innings of fifty-plus (four hundreds and 17 fifties) is a new record in T20Is, bettering the 20 by Virat Kohli.
  8. Rohit's tally of 322 boundaries (107 sixes and 115 fours) is a record in T20Is.
  9. Evin Lewis, with ducks in the first and second T20I, has posted consecutive ducks for the first time.  In all, he has recorded three ducks in T20Is.  He had recorded duck on debut vs Afghanistan at Nagpur on March 27, 2016.
  10. Lewis remains the only batsman to hit two hundreds and two ducks (vs India) against an opponent in Twenty20 Internationals.
  11. Virat Kohli has recorded 225 fours in 64 innings, establishing a record in T20Is, outstripping Sri Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan's aggregate of 223 fours in 79 innings.
  12. Kohli has managed 8416 runs in 254 innings in Twenty20, establishing an Indian record, obliterating the 8392 in 303 innings by Suresh Raina.
  13. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were involved in a stand of 67- the highest opening stand by any pair vs West Indies in T20Is at Lauderhill, eclipsing the 61 by Bangladesh's pair, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das on August 5, 2018.
  14. Rishabh Pant is averaging 16.92 in T20Is - his last four innings have been single digits - 3 and 1 vs Australia; 0 and 4 vs West Indies.
