After thrashing the Pakistan in their Champions Trophy opener, defending champions India lost to Sri Lanka by 7 wickets at The Oval on Thursday.
Put in to bat after Virat lost the toss, Shikhar Dhawan's superb 125 led India to an imposing total of 321 for six. However, the Indian bowlers managed to pick up only three wickets. Gunathilaka (76) and Mendis (89) shared a second-wicket partnership of 159 to set up an unlikely win for Sri Lanka, who achieved the highest successful run chase in the tournament's history.
So, where did India go wrong in their second Champions Trophy game?
