June is turning out to be a fabulous month for the Afghanistan men’s cricket team. Not only is the team playing its first ever international Test match, but the team spent Day 2 of their India tour celebrating the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Board spread good wishes for the festival, which marks the end of the month of Ramzan, through its official Twitter account:
The visiting players including Rashid Khan, captain Ashghar Stanikzai and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, first visited a local mosque in the morning and then arrived at the stadium wearing traditional Afghani festive dress.
The players then greeted by hugging each other for quite some time after arriving at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru before they changed into their whites to prepare themselves for the day's play.
The visuals of faith and brotherhood are heartwarming.
