BCCI, on 8 May, announced the 15-member squad that will fly to England to defend India’s ICC Champions Trophy title.
As expected, Virat Kohli will lead the squad in the tournament, that is scheduled to begin on 1 June, while MS Dhoni will be the wicketkeeper. Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami have returned to the squad. Chief selector MSK Prasad announced that Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were the openers for the tournament while Ajinkya Rahane would be the back-up opener.
