Virat Kohli & Co. gear up for their latest challenge as they prepare to take on the power-packed Windies team at Old Trafford in Manchester as this cricketing extravaganza hits the business end. While the English crowds have taken to this global event with much excitement by enjoying the matches from the stands, we, here at home, aren’t so lucky. Though thousands of miles away (4,233 to be exact), we have been able to feel the roller-coaster ride through our TV sets. But, have you ever wondered how you can ever follow the action ball-to-ball with the utmost accuracy, concentrating on the finer details?

We go behind the scenes with Mayanti Langer, host of Cricket Live, to figure out exactly how catching the World Cup Live has been no challenging task. Whether it be in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Hindi, or English, catching the cricketing action has truly been a treat. Multiple feeds in different language at the same time are delivered to your screens as a legend analyzes the nook and crannies of the game. The dugout is the home to the live action- what you see on your screens at this very moment. Studios for different purposes are established to make the process of broadcasting less tedious with Studio 1, in particular, being an important one.

While remembering the number of overs bowled, runs made and extras thrown is not something we can do without losing track. The fruit machine prevents us from racking our brains, instead keeping up-to-date with all the little facts and details. Various production rooms at the same time produce the results that you see on your TV screens.

While rain has been a constant problem this World Cup, it has caused major pain to those sitting in the studios who wait restlessly for the action to start. But, with this spectacular event hitting the business end, expect more jam-packed action and a lot of thrilling matches with India well-poised to progress into the latter stages of the World Cup.
