Along with the fierce battle on the football field by the Indian Super League teams in the second season, there is another competition taking place among the teams on Twitter.

Each of the teams have over 38,000 followers with defending champions Atletico de Kolkata leading the pack with 1,25,000 followers.

Mumbai City FC’s Sunil Chhetri is the most followed player in the Indian Super League. His first Tweet after becoming the first Indian to score a hat-trick in the history of the ISL was the most re-tweeted tweet by a player in the tournament.
