Indian badminton team coach P Gopichand, on Monday gave his opinion on his team's ace shuttlers PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal's performances.
Talking about Saina's defeat, Gopichand said that it was a tough match and the way Saina fought throughout is nothing to be disappointed about.
He further said that having Olympics, Commonwealth and Asian Games medals in her armoury is something phenominal.
I am very proud of the way she fought today so nothing to be disappointed about. Yes, we lost but Ithink Saina gave her best shot against a player who has been playing really well and is the world no 1. The bronze she has won has come after a lot of year with a lot of hard work.

Coming to Sindhu's performance, Gopichand said that she dug deep and fought hard to assure herself the silver.
There were times in the second game where she (Sindhu) was good, but I think she lost momentum for a moment and things changed. However, she recovered in time to have a very good comprehensive third game victory.
He further said that communication is a problem in noisy stadiums and players' body language helps in communicating with the coach.
When they are looking at you, I think you can just tell them what needs to be done.
On Sindhu's final against world No.1 Tai Tzu Ying, Gpoichand said that Sindhu has done well consistently to get to the finals. He said that players with power and speed pull it off and Sindhu is one of them.
There are only a few players in the world who can pull it off, I think its people with power and speed and Sindhu is one of them.
