Asiad Day 12 Schedule: Seema Punia, Men’s Hockey Team in Action

All the major events from Day 12 of the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia on 30 August.

The Indian athletic contingent has been performing exceedingly well at the 18th Asian Games so far. Indian athletes, on Wednesday, added three more medals to their tally, courtesy Dutee Chand (200m silver), Arpinder Singh (triple jump gold) and Swapna Barman (Heptathlon gold).

India will go into Day 12 of the Asian Games with seven finals lined up for the athletic contingent. CWG silver medallist in women’s discus throw Seema Punia takes stage at 5:10 pm IST. Lakshmanan Govindan, who lost his 10,000m bronze medal because he put one foot off the track, will be competing in the 5000m final at 6:30 pm IST.

The day will start early for the Indian contingent with men’s 50km walk beginning as early as 4:30 am IST and equestrian starting at 6:30 am IST.

Keevaan Setalvad and Zahan Setalvad will be competing in their Men’s individual jumping finals.

The other events pick up pace later in the day with table tennis featuring both men’s and women’s single matches.

Indian men’s hockey team take on Malaysia in the semi-final at 4 pm IST. The team, which is in red hot form at the Games this year, will look to inch past their most tricky opponent of the tournament.

Jinson Johnson and Manjit Singh will look to double their medal tally as they compete for the podium in men’s 1500m final at 6:05 pm IST. India will be competing in both men’s and women’s 4x400m relay final that start post 6:50 pm IST.
