India finished the 18th edition of the Asian Games with a total of 69 medals. They won 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze medals in the competition.
The Asian Games closing ceremony will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta. The proceedings will begin at 5:30 pm IST. During the ceremony, many arts and cultural aspects of Indonesia will be showcased through dancers, musicians and singers.
Indian women's hockey team captain Rani Rampal will be India's flag-bearer at the closing ceremony. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra was India's flag-bearer at the opening ceremony. Chopra went on to win the gold medal in his event comfortably.
Rani led India to a silver medal finish at the Asian Games on Friday. They made their first final in 20 years but ended up losing to Japan 1-2 in the summit clash.
After a fantastic outing at the 18th Asian Games, the Indian players would officially bid good-bye to their most successful outing in the history of the tournament.
