After a busy and hectic 2018, sports fans might get a breather in 2019. But that doesn’t mean that the year will be completely devoid of sporting action.
It may be an ‘odd’ year – which means that there won’t be a football World Cup or the Olympics, but there are enough major sporting events happening throughout 2019 to keep the sports buffs hooked.
The year starts with AFC Asian Cup football in UAE, where India will be participating, after a long time. This will be followed by the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The months of May and June will be exciting for both cricket and football fans. The FA Cup final and the Europa League final will take place in May. Meanwhile, June will see the UEFA Champions League final, UEFA Nations League finals, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The ICC Cricket World Cup will also start in May. This will also be the year of the Rugby World Cup.
