The BCCI had to wait for the dates of the Bengal Assembly Elections to make final their plans for the Indian Premier League and finally on Thursday, the schedule of the almost two-month long tournament was released.
Defending champs Mumbai Indians will kick things off on the 9th of April against new team Rising Pune Supergiants. The match will be played at their home ground, Wankhede Stadium.
From thereon, there will be another 59 matches(including 4 play-offs) that will be played over a period of 51 days, culminating in the final on the 29th of May.
The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium at Raipur will play host to two home games of Delhi Daredevils, while the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium at Nagpur will host three home games of Kings XI Punjab.
