Over the last two years, we have seen a lot more of actor Rasika Dugal, thanks to the advent of OTT platforms. With shows like Delhi Crime and Mirzapur the actor has got a change to prove her mettle. She’s also balanced that out with her work in movies like Hamid and Manto.
In the latest episode of our podcast series ‘OffScreen’, we spoke to Rasika about her new show on Hotstar, Out Of Love. The show is an adaption of the British show Doctor Foster, and Rasika plays a doctor who finds out that her husband is having an affair with another woman.
Rasika spoke about the increase in the volume of her work, the boom of OTT platforms, her choices as an actor and why actors should not be restricted in their choices.
She also opened up about how social media is an effort for her. She said, “I sometimes wish I was born in an earlier era, where there was just one thing to do. I do enjoy it sometimes when I have a really nice picture. But then there’s also this constant need to put a visual to everything, which is exhausting.”
In ‘OffScreen’, we recount stories from the world of movies and web series, mostly featuring people who toil behind the scenes, people who basically work off-screen to create magic on screen. We also bring to you fascinating stories of actors that you might not have been privy to.
Out of Love is now streaming on Hotstar.
