Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the house of an Assam resident, Putola Das, at Panbari Adarsh Gram village after taking a tour of Kaziranga National Park. They also visited a traditional Assamese Namghar where Kate interacted with the kids in the village and saw a traditional Bihu performance. Putola Das gifted Kate a traditional Mekhla (wraparound) and showed her how it’s made on a traditional handloom.
