A walk-in transgender model audition was conducted on Sunday (February 7) by Rudrani Chettri, founder of Mitr Trust, a city-based LGBT charity, who is setting up a transgender modelling agency in New Delhi.

Transgender models spent the day auditioning to join the vanguard of models hoping to change opinions in India. Aspiring models posed for a photo shoot during auditions for a transgender/transsexual modelling agency, a first in India.

Chettri has been working for more than 10 years in spreading awareness and fighting to improve the lives of transgenders in India. Chettri hopes the platform will help in an image overhaul of the transgender community.
