The world premiere of Netflix’s new original series Selection Day was held at Mumbai’s PVR cinemas in Juhu on Tuesday 18 December. The entire cast of the crew were present for the occasion, including producer Anil Kapoor, actor Ratna Pathak Shah and others. An assortment of Bollywood celebrities such as Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Swara Bhaskar also attended the event.

Based on Aravind Adiga's eponymous book and produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company and Seven Stories Ltd, Selection Day is a coming-of-age drama about two brothers who are raised by their strict father obsessed about his children becoming star cricketers. The series, which releases on Netflix on 28 December, stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajesh Tailang and newcomers Yash Dholye and Mohammad Samad.
