Sridevi’s sudden death has shook the film industry and her fans. The actor passed away in Dubai after suffering from a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. Sridevi was popularly regarded as the first female superstar of Indian cinema. While the actress started working as a child actor in various languages, she got the taste of stardom in Hindi with Himmatwala in 1983 and then there was no looking back.

Chandni (1989) With this Sridevi became a Yash Chopra heroine.

Sridevi vowed audience with her double role in Chaalbaaz (1989)

In Khuda Gawah (1992) Sridevi played the character of Benazir and weaved magic as she romanced Amitabh Bachchan.
