The Crossword Store at Mumbai’s Kemps Corner has been hijacked by Potterheads since Sunday morning, ever since Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – the eighth book in the Harry Potter series – hit the shelves. We caught the initial excitement of the Harry Potter fans on camera just for you. Read on.
Rishi Redkar, 24, was the first Potter fan to buy Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at Crossword Kemps Corner.
Eager readers lined up the Kemps Corner Crossword an hour early, at 10 am on Sunday, to pick up their crisp copies of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in person. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the first Harry Potter to be written as the script of a play, instead of as a narrative.
The books were neatly stacked along with lots of Potter memorabilia.
Harry Potter fans also got to click selfies next to a replica of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
There was also free Butterbeer, sorting hat cupcakes and lightning scar cookies complementary with every Potter book purchase.
Remember The Weird Sisters? The bookstore had its own version of the band to keep shoppers extra entertained.
When are you picking up your copy?
