From Mali to Syria, A Look at 2017’s Compelling Images of Conflict

From bombings in Somalia to air strikes in Syria, 2017 witnessed the horror of raging conflicts across the world, particularly in the Middle East. With a rise in insurgency, and a resultant expansion of terror outfits, war-torn nations and cities have struggled to restore normalcy.
Photojournalists from Reuters captured some of these moments of anguish and terror from the year we are set to leave behind. The Quint picked 24 images from this stunning series on conflict imagery, to give the readers a look at the year that was, and what it spelled for some of the less fortunate people across the world.
