The 71st British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, was, as expected, a starry affair with some of the biggest Hollywood and British stars descending upon Royal Albert Hall in London on February 19. While there were not too many surprises as far as the winners go, there were head-turners galore on the red carpet. Most of the stars appeared in black in support of the Time’s Up movement - the duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, being a notable exception. She is being criticised for not supporting the movement.
The stories they tell - Angelina Jolie shows off her tattoos. Orlando Bloom turns heads. Lupita Nyong’o is as stunning as ever. Margot Robbie lights up the night with her smile.Jennifer Lawrence steals the show. Hugh Grant arrives with Anna Eberstein.Olivia Spencer on the red carpet. Sir Patrick Stewart can still stop the show. Saoirse Ronan arrives for the ceremony. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has fun on the red carpet. The duke and duchess of Cambridge arrive for the Bafta. Naomi Harris is redefining gorgeous. Gemma Arterton is beautiful in black.
