The Academy issues a statement:
Bailey was elected president in August 2017 and if he is forced to step down, vice-president and veteran make-up artist, Lois Burwell would take over. The Academy, during Bailey’s tenure, has taken several measures to curb the practice of sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry.
