US Navy Attacked by Houthi Rebels, Missiles Miss the Target

The failed missile attack is said to have begun around 7 pm local time on Sunday.

  • A US Navy-guided missile destroyer became the target of Iran-backed Houthi rebels on Sunday.
  • The rebels fired two missiles in the Yemen-controlled coast in the Red Sea. The missiles, however, missed the mark and none of the soldiers were hurt. No damage was done to the ship either.
  • The timing of the attacks is crucial as it comes just a week after a United Arab Emirates vessel was attacked in similar manner by the same rebel group.
