The highly anticipated interview of adult film star Stormy Daniels on Monday, 26 March (IST) about her alleged affair with US President Donald Trump in 2006 created ripples with people flocking to social media to have their say.
From supporting Daniels for coming out with “her story”, to reacting to the claims made she made, and of course lashing out at Trump, Twitter had it all.
In an interview to Anderson Cooper for CBS Network, Daniels spoke about the threats received by her family and her, life after her alleged affair with Trump, the ramifications of choosing to come out with her side of the story and why she chose to do it now.
Daniels alleged that in 2011, when Trump become aware that she had given an interview to a publication about the affair, she received a threat from an unidentified man in a parking lot.
The Twitterverse also pointed out that there was no reason for Trump’s lawyer Micheal Cohen to draw up a contract with Stormy Daniels if she was a “stranger who was lying”.
Comedian Kathy Griffin extended her support to Daniels.
Daniels also described how she caught Trump off guard, giving him a spanking with a rolled up magazine that had his face on the cover, and subsequently saw his behaviour ‘become more appropriate’ - which of course had Twitter bursting at the seams with glee.
Trump reportedly told Daniels, “Wow, you are special. You remind me of my daughter.’” Reacting to this rather disturbing revelation (that corroborated other similar revelations by other women Trump has allegedly slept with), Twitter was like:
