Sadiq Khan Breaks Ramadan Fast on Stage During Brexit Debate
The fast for London Muslims lasted for 19 hours as it coincided with the summer solstice.

London mayor Sadiq Khan takes his job and religion very seriously. He fasted for 19 hours on Tuesday while arguing for Britain to remain in the European Union at the Wembley Stadium, reported the Independent.
The summer solstice made for a gruelling fast which he did not break before he had to go on stage for the BBC debate.
Even while Sadiq Khan he raised pertinent points during the debate, he never once wet his throat till the sun went down.
A spokesman for Mr Khan confirmed that the mayor did not take exceptions despite being one of just six people on stage in the high-stakes referendum campaign.
Muslims in London were required to fast from 2.40 am until 9.24 pm, at which point the mayor took a break from the debate and broke his fast with refreshments.
The contentious vote which will decide Britain’s fate with the EU will take place on 23 June.
