In a bizarre and shocking incident of racial discrimination, a black doctor was not allowed to attend to a patient, who later died.
Tamika Cross, an obstetrician and gynecologist from Houston, later took to Facebook to speak about the appalling incident.
Cross was on a Delta flight when a passenger a few rows ahead of her started screaming because her husband had become unresponsive. Cross immediately raised her hand after a flight attendant asked if there was a physician on board.
Though Cross tried to inform her that she's a physician, she was "continually cut-off by condescending remarks".
While the patient continued to suffer, she was asked to show her “credentials” and was bombarded with questions.
