Allan Lichtman is a political historian and professor who has predicted Donald Trump’s win in the US election.

He used a 13-point scale which he devised and predicted the outcome of the past 8 elections correctly.

Now that his prediction came true, he has again predicted that Trump will get impeached, much to the delight of Democrats, as the Washington Post reported.

Back in October, the professor had said that if elected, Trump would eventually either be impeached by the Republican Congress and be replaced by Mike Pence - whom establishment Republicans know and trust.

I’m going to make another prediction. This one is not based on a system; it’s just my gut. They don’t want Trump as president, because they can’t control him. He’s unpredictable. They’d love to have Pence — an absolutely down-the-line, Conservative, controllable Republican. And I’m quite certain Trump will give someone grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that endangers national security or because it helps his pocketbook.

The 8 November votes showed that even though most ballots were cast for the Republicans keeping Trump in mind, the party leadership is not too sure of him.

As far as discussing the Trump win over Hillary, Lichtman says neither she nor her campaign can be blamed as the outcome was a result of the larger forces that shape American politics.
