Appearing on Radio 4’s Thought for the Day slot, Prince Charles warned of the increasingly aggressive attitude towards people of the minority faith.
Though he did not refer to any names, the warning seemed to be a disguised referencing to the recent US presidential elections and Donald Trump’s win in spite of his vehement anti-Muslim propaganda. Prince Charles also showed his discontent on the hostility towards refugees in Europe.
He said that the rise of populist groups who are against the people of the alternate faith resonated with that of the dark days of 1930’s.
Prince Charles strongly condemned such monstrous extremism and inhuman behaviour.
Prince Charles also pointed out the increasingly hostile attitudes towards refugees by citing UN statistics.
He added that, “a staggering 65.3 million people abandoned their homes in 2015-5.8 million more than the year before.”
