In tragic news, a 24-year-old pregnant woman was shot dead during festivities in Larkana district of Sindh province. The woman, who was a singer at an event, had refused to comply with an order given by a man in the audience, asking her to stand up while she was singing.

A video-clip of the entire incident has gone viral on social media.

The woman, Samina Samoon, also known as Samina Sindhu, was allegedly asked to stand up while singing by a man identified as Tarique Ahmed Jatoi. When she refused, reportedly citing her pregnancy as a reason, Jatoi who is said to have been inebriated, shot her, ANI reports.

The 24-year-old singer was immediately rushed to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

According to The Asian Age, a video of the entire incident was recorded which was later shown on Larkano News. The clip shows that although the woman had initially refused the request, she eventually gave in, stood up and continued singing.

However, a few minutes after she stood up, she was shot by Jatoi.

The clip, which later went viral on Twitter after it was shared by Islamabad-based human rights activist Kapil Dev, also showed that attendees at the event were tossing money at Samina while she continued to sing, moments before she was shot.
