Since the Trump campaign was hit with Donald Trump’s sexually inappropriate comments about his alleged assault, a lot has been said and done by Trump in his own defence.

His daughter, Ivanka Trump, has finally spoken against the tape saying the comments were offensive, in a statement she issued to Fast Company.

My father’s comments were clearly inappropriate and offensive and I’m glad that he acknowledged this fact with an immediate apology to my family and the American people.

She spoke about how their lives, especially her father’s, has been affected since the campaigning began a year-and-a-half ago, saying how they have all undergone enormous scrutiny. Reading a lot of the negative comments that are printed has made her tougher and made her learn a lot.

The greatest comfort I have is the fact that I know my father. Most of the people who write about him don’t. I do. So that gives me an ability to shrug off the things that I read about him that are wrong.

She was also quick to call out the media hypocrisy, when she was labelled as Donald Trump’s “surrogate wife” by them without any consequence, yet the press hang’s onto each word of Trump’s to scrutinise it.

Ivanka Trump’s comments come right after Melania Trump called the language and nature of the tapes “offensive”, yet both of them were also quick to defend Donald, being the “man-child” he is.
