Unidentified gunmen stormed the studio of Afghanistan’s Shamshad TV channel in Kabul city and opened fire on 7 November, TOLO news reported.
At least two men broke into the building after an explosion, a security official told reporters. One of the attackers was killed by guards while another fought off security forces with hand grenades, the official was quoted as saying.
According to the reports, Shamshad TV went off air after the gunmen entered the building.
The attack began at around 10:45 am. Ambulances and security forces were rushed to the spot.
The Taliban has denied any involvement in the attack, TOLO news tweeted.
The attack is the latest in a series of assaults on Afghan journalists and media personnel. Last year, seven members of Afghanistan's largest private television station, TOLO, were killed by a Taliban suicide bomber.
