Harry Potter and the Cursed Child that came out last month didn’t quite get a thumbs up from loyal Potter fans. It didn’t help that it was a screenplay written in collaboration with two other writers.
But some good news is on its way for all the fans.
All those who felt that The Cursed Child didn’t live up to the expectations of a JK Rowling book, are in for a treat soon. Rowling plans on releasing new books composed of short stories from the magical world we have come to love over the years.
This news should pacify readers hungering for more.
The new books will be available only as e-books.
The material will also be released on Harry Potter’s official website, Pottermore.
The first book, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, chronicles tale of the friendship between Tom Riddle (who turned into Voldemort), the history of the mysterious Azkaban prison, and the life story of the infamous Professor Umbridge.
The second, Heroism, Hardship And Dangerous Hobbies, will include stories about werewolf Remus Lupin, and Hogwarts transfiguration teacher Minerva McGonagall.
The thirds, Hogwarts: An Incomplete And Unreliable Guide will narrate the story of the British wizarding school.
The books, available to pre-order on Amazon, will be published on September 6, and will be priced at £1.99 each.
