Former ISI Chief Hamid Gul Passes Away

Former director general of Pakistan’s ISI, Hamid Gul, died of a brain haemorrhage on Saturday.

Hamid Gul, former chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), passed away in Murree in the Punjab province of Pakistan on Saturday evening according to The Express Tribune.

According to the report, the cause of death was brain haemorrhage and his daughter, Uzma Gul, said that he had been taken to the Combined Military hospital in Murree after the haemorrhage.

The doctors made efforts to save him but they were unsuccessful.

The three-star general fought in the Indo-Pak 1965 war and served as the director general of the ISI between 1987 and 1989.
