Have you ever danced so hard that you ended up shooting someone?
An FBI agent in Denver performed a backflip at a busy nightclub – only for his gun to fall out of his waistband holster and discharge when he rushed to pick it up. The agent ended up shooting a victim, an adult male, in the leg.
The video, which was first obtained by local television stations and then posted by several users on social media, shows the off-duty agent trying to please the onlookers with his dance moves before shooting one of them.
At the end of the video, the agent can be seen throwing his hands up in the air, smiling and then trying to walk it off.
The officer was dancing at Mile High Spirits Distillery Spirits Tasting Room in Denver when the incident occurred, reports CBS Denver.
As per the report, witnesses at the bar said they heard the victim shout for help. The victim, who was rushed to the hospital, reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The agent was taken to Denver Police headquarters and later released to an FBI supervisor, police told CBS Denver.
In a statement, an FBI spokesperson said: “the investigation is active, ongoing, and a personnel matter so we cannot provide comment at this time.”
