After six hours of being trapped under the ruins of a building, an eight-month-old baby girl was rescued alive on Friday.
Japan’s Kyushu island was hit by an earthquake of 6.5 magnitude and the second one of 5.8 magnitude, half an hour after the first. Many structures had collapsed after the quake, leaving at least 9 people dead after, CNN reported.
Video footage proved by the National Police Agency show rescuers rescuing the baby out of the rubble and gently carrying her in a blanket. She was reportedly found unhurt under one of the pillars.
The baby’s family members, all of whom managed to escape, tried to rescue the baby when the house collapsed.
