Tuesday marked the US Army’s 241st birthday. Trump addressed a rally on the occasion, where he seemingly accused US war veterans of stealing funds from the American government.
Calling Iraq, “crooked as hell”, Trump said:
The previous mention of American soldiers was made by Trump during a rally in 2015. There too the Republican candidate seemed to suggest that the soldiers had stolen money from the US government, both in Iraq and Afghanistan, points out Politico.
The remarks on Tuesday were made in Greensboro, North Carolina, a mere 90 miles away from one of the largest and best-known US Army bases.
