CLAIM
A viral video on Facebook claims to show Kashmir ‘burning’ in the aftermath of the Centre's move to effectively revoke Article 370.
(Kashmir is burning. Modi and Shah are not letting the world see this but at least you should tell the world.)
In the video, security personnel can be seen firing at the protesters as Kashmiri students demand ‘freedom’ on the streets.

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?
The viral video is from 2017, when students clashed with security forces in several places in the Kashmir Valley, showing solidarity with the students of Pulwama Degree College, where over 50 students were injured.
WHAT WE FOUND
A closer look revealed the logo of Rising Kashmir (RK) on the viral video.
Upon using the key words ‘student protests Rising Kashmir,’ we came across a video titled ‘Student protests rock Kashmir valley,’ which the Rising Kashmir had posted on 17 April 2017.
This is a 6 minute 37 seconds long video as compared to the viral clip which is 30 seconds.
Further, we found that the incident in both the videos are one and the same, although the footage is not in the same order.
Widespread clashes erupted in the Kashmir Valley between the students and the police, as the student community hit the streets in solidarity with the students of Pulwama Degree College, where over 50 students were injured.
The Valley witnessed massive protests on 17 April 2017 as the students demanded action against security forces who thrashed Pulwama students.
