Congress Karnataka Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao was not in a mood to mince words when he said that Yogi Adityanath was not fit to be the CM. According to an ANI report, Gundu Rao made the ‘inciting remarks’ following the Unnao rape incident in which the accused Kuldeep Singh Singer is an MLA from the CM’s own party.
On Sunday, April 15, Dinesh Gundu Rao asserted that given the circumstances Yogi Adityanath should have resigned by now, reported ANI.
The Congress leader also pointed out that even after the rape victim’s father died in custody, the BJP government did not file an FIR. "Not only has a girl been raped, her father was arrested and has died, and the BJP government and the police did not even file an FIR.”
This, naturally, did not go down to well with the BJP. The party members took to the streets of Bengaluru to protest against Dinesh Gundu Rao, reported ANI.
