The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s three-day meeting with its 40 affiliate organisations, including the BJP, will start on 1 September at Vrindhavan.

While BJP president Amit Shah has arrived to attend the meeting, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are expected to follow.

The meeting, to be held at Keshav Dham in Vrindavan, will take stock of the work done by the organisations, said a senior functionary.

Praveen Togadia of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will also be present at the meeting.

Attacks on RSS cadres in left-ruled Kerala and the recent violence in Haryana after the arrest of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim are expected to be discussed at the meeting.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will chair the meet, to be attended by other senior sangh functionaries such as Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Dattatreya Hosabale and Krishna Gopal.

This is the first major meeting of the RSS in Uttar Pradesh after the BJP came to power in March 2017. Leaders from BJP-ruled states are also expected to be in attendance.
