Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, addressed a rally in Belagavi (Belgaum) in Karnataka on Saturday and repeated his “suit boot ki sarkaar”dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rahul said that his party will ensure removal of the 'suit-boot' central government which runs for “one percent of the super-rich”.
“Jaise Angrezi mein kehte hain, man-made disaster. Isi prakaar se demonetisation Modi -made disaster hai. (Just as there are man-made disasters, demonetisation is a Modi-made disaster.)

He went on to attack Modi over the alleged waiver of liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s loans after he was declared as a willful defaulter by the State Bank of India (SBI).
PM se poochna chahta hun Mallya Hindustan ka chor hai, aapne use Rs 1,200 crore ki toffee kyun khilayi? Aapne uska loan maaf kyun kiya? (I want to ask PM Modi, if Mallya is a thief, why did you give him benefits worth Rs 1200 crore? Why did you waive his loan?)
The Belagavi (Belgaum) rally was held a day after Rahul Gandhi, along with a delegation of Congress members, met Modi after the Winter Session of Parliament came to an end.
